Scandinavian Spa, Mont Tremblant

This magical oasis nestled in the woods on the shores of the Diable River, about an hour and a half from Montreal, is what I imagine heaven to be like. Mont Tremblant, a quaint little ski town, was a highlight of our annual autumn anniversary trips!

The Nordic baths, thermal pools, solarium, and jacuzzi tubs provided the ultimate relaxation experience for our mind, body, and soul. The amenities included hammocks swinging in the woods, an outdoor fireplace with Adirondack chairs, reading rooms, vapor steam rooms, lounge chairs by the river, and covered cabanas on a higher deck overlooking the river. We spent four and a half hours thoroughly enjoying it all, dressed in our swimsuits and robes, unwinding in the most stunning natural setting. The autumn foliage magnificently framed the soothing ambiance, providing the best backdrop for relaxing and rejuvenating.

We've been to many spas before, but the Scandinavian Spa took our relaxation experience to another level. Their three-part bath system recharged us physically and mentally and provided the maximum health benefits the Scandinavian people are known for. We alternated between hot baths at 102/103 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, cold dip at 52 degrees for 30 seconds, and pure relaxation in one of the many rest areas; each one was incredibly comfortable and relaxing in its way for 15 minutes. We repeated this pattern 3-4 times, eventually feeling completely rejuvenated.

We also had the opportunity to dip our toes and hubbies' entire body in the calm river off the dock. We heard in the winter, they cut a hole in the ice like an ice fishing hole so people could jump in. Brave and nutty! I bet Scandinavian Spa is extra magical during winter months. I'm contemplating planning another trip!

Before indulging in the wonderful baths, we treated ourselves to delightful sixty-minute couple's massages by the spa's super professional and friendly staff. The spa's massage prices were comparable to those in the States.

There are day passes for the baths without having to schedule a massage; however, availability is first-come-first-served, and it is not guaranteed that you will get a spot. The spa only allows a certain number of people, ensuring it's never too crowded. If you schedule a massage, you automatically have access to the baths before or after the spa treatment. We enjoyed the afterward, relaxing as we were not worried about keeping track of time for an upcoming massage.

Booking the spa treatment strictly for access to the baths is highly recommended, as people were waiting all day to get in.

The entire day was spent in complete silence, another unique aspect of the spa. The utter silence was heavenly and incredibly refreshing; it truly made all the difference in our experience.

I highly recommend planning a trip to this magnificent wonder, which, if you are wondering, is absolutely worth the journey west from Montreal. I would go as far as to say no trip to this region of Canada is complete without stopping here! This place is a must-visit destination! It was the perfect romantic treat during our annual autumn anniversary trip, leaving us as two relaxed and delighted parents. I cannot wait to visit again! It was genuinely difficult to leave this magical place. It is an experience like no other that we will never forget.
